Welcome to Killary Harbour Hostel. Rosroe is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the shores of Killary Harbour in the heart of Connemara. Killary Harbour is a natural fjord, extending ten miles into the Connemara countryside. The harbour area is noted for its nature trails, famine walk and hill walking. The harbour supports fishing, scuba-diving and sailing and most water sports. Go fishing on the shore.

This is a traditional method using the slean, the way it was done in the olden days gone by. If you want to see how it was done then come to our farm . On Killary sheepfarm we bring our guests on picturesque walks along country trails, overlooking the Killary Fjord. These walks are held at 11 am, 1 pm. July to September We shear all our sheep with the hand shears which is the traditional way of sheep shearing. It is unusual to see hand shearing still. It was also really cool to see how .
